600 IGT EMPLOYEES PARTICIPATE WORLDWIDE IN COMPANY’S INAUGURAL GLOBAL GIVING WEEK, VOLUNTEERING OVER 4,100 HOURS

PROVIDENCE, RI – June 25, 2018 – IGT employees from around the world volunteered with various charities and non-profit organizations as part of IGT’s inaugural “Global Giving Week – A Day For Doing,” which was held May 6-12, 2018. During this set week, employees were provided with an additional paid workday off to volunteer at a non-profit of their choice. Many employees dedicated their time to prepare meals for the homeless, work with shelter animals, assist the elderly, clean up parks, among other activities to help those in need.

“This was IGT’s first Global Giving Week, and we were proud to see so many employees around the world literally roll up their sleeves and do their part to make their communities a better place,” said Angela Wiczek, IGT Vice President of Corporate Communications. “It was a rewarding, yet very humbling, experience for many of our employees. Some locations were so inspired that they are planning a second day of service in their communities over the summer.”

More than 600 IGT employees participated worldwide, including those in all parts of the U.S., as well as in the U.K., Canada, Italy, China, Australia, Czech Republic, Barbados, St Marteen, Trinidad & Tobago, and Spain. In total, employees volunteered over 4,100 hours.

“Given the success of this inaugural year, we are planning to make Global Giving Week an annual event,” said Wiczek.

IGT is also making a donation to Mercer County Parks System in New Jersey for having the largest, single IGT team volunteer during Global Giving Week, with a total of 28 volunteers who helped to clean up litter at the playground, picnic areas, and all around Mercer Lake.

The Company offers three employee-giving programs and encourages all employees to give back to their local communities through IGT’s Day Off For Volunteerism, Matching Gifts, and Dollars For Doers.
