Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. announced today it has partnered with leading casino operator Boyd Gaming Corporation to launch Aristocrat's cashless wagering digital wallet technology at Boyd Gaming's Blue Chip Casino Resort Spa in Michigan City, Indiana.

Oct. 26, 2020 -- This new innovation is the cornerstone of a new "Resort Wallet" feature in which patrons can place cash on account at the cashier cage, then use their player loyalty card to instantly access those funds on the casino floor. The digital wallet eliminates the need to handle cash at slot machines or redeem tickets, creating a frictionless experience for the customer.

The Blue Chip launch will initially provide access to the wallet for slot machine players, allowing them to use their B Connected player loyalty card to place wagers and cash out credits. In future stages, access to the digital wallet will be expanded to table games, restaurants, and other amenities at Blue Chip.

Based on the success of the Blue Chip launch, and pending regulatory approvals, Aristocrat and Boyd Gaming intend to expand digital wallet technology to additional Boyd Gaming properties across the country. The two companies also plan to integrate the digital wallet into Boyd Gaming's B Connected Mobile app, creating a truly digital, touchless experience for Boyd Gaming customers.

LAS VEGAS, NV October 21, 2020 – Ainsworth Game Technology Limited (ASX: AGI) (“Ainsworth”) announced it has reached an agreement to provide exclusive Keno, Video Poker and Reel content for Golden Gaming across its route in Montana.

 

The three-year agreement gives Golden Gaming exclusive rights to use the Montana Gold MultiGame, which includes a variety of content that is among the top performing in the competitive Montana Video Lottery Terminal market.

 

This announcement comes less than six months after Ainsworth purchased the assets of MTD Gaming Inc. MTD developed and supplied premium performing and unique Poker, Keno and Reel content for Video Lottery Terminal markets such as Montana, Louisiana and South Dakota.

 

“This is our first large agreement following the acquisition of MTD’s assets,” said Ainsworth Chief Commercial Officer Deron Hunsberger. “We are thrilled to continue to be working extremely closely with the most respected route operator in the U.S. in Golden Gaming. We are confident the strong performance of this product in Montana will provide a strong return-on-investment for Golden and a unique experience for players.”

 

Ainsworth plans to expand the offering of these Keno, Video Poker and reel slot MulitGame products across multiple markets in the coming months, including Nevada, California, Arizona and New Mexico.

"IGT and Scientific Games jointly participated in a bid for the award of the first national instant lottery concession in Brazil ("LOTEX Concession"). The parties were awarded the LOTEX Concession in October 2019. Pursuant to the award, IGT and Scientific Games were required to satisfy certain conditions precedent for the execution of the concession agreement by September 21, 2020. Prior to and since receiving the award of the LOTEX Concession, the parties repeatedly informed the Government of Brazil that it was critical, to ensure the success of the national instant ticket business in Brazil, to have a signed distribution agreement with CAIXA Econômica, operator of the largest lottery retailer network in Brazil. Following more than seven months of diligent discussions with CAIXA, the parties successfully completed contract negotiations. However, despite reaching an agreement on the final version of the contract more than two months ago, CAIXA failed to authorize its execution by the concession deadline, and our request for an extension of the process was not granted. The 13,000 lottery retailers within the CAIXA network are fundamental to a successful launch of the instant ticket business in Brazil and without such distribution network, the companies were not prepared to move forward," said Walter Bugno, IGT EVP New Business and Strategic Initiatives and Michael Conforti, Scientific Games, President Global Strategic Accounts.
