“2023 is off to a good start” said Todd Cravens, President, and CEO. “Our revenues, which were a record, include approximately $1.3 million of perpetual license purchases from a large customer in GG Core, and we expect more of these purchases in the second quarter. Without these purchases in Q1 23, our GG Core revenues were $3.9 million vs $3.8 million in Q1 22. In our GG Digital business revenues (net) were $2.3 million vs $2.1 million in Q1 22. We anticipate that Q1 23 will be the last quarter in which year-over-year comparisons are adversely affected by exchange rates. In April, our GOS platform was approved by the testing lab, and we are now receiving the necessary approvals to sell GOS in jurisdictions where such approval is required.”

“We paid down $733K of principal on the Fortress loan in Q1, and Net Leverage was 3.9x at the end of the quarter, comfortably below the 6.0x maximum” said Harry Hagerty, the Company’s CFO. “We saw an increase in receivables from some of our largest customers and a decrease in payables to one of our largest vendors, with the result that we saw a decrease in cash in the quarter. We believe that our liquidity will remain strong through the balance of the year, and we continue to target a refinancing of our debt in late 2023.”

Hagerty added, “With respect to fiscal 2023, we are increasing our guidance for revenue (net of iGaming royalties) from a range of $26-$27 million to a range of $27.5-$28.5 million, and we are increasing the guidance for Adjusted EBITDA from a range of $12-13 million to a range of $13.0-13.25 million. This forecast assumes no impact to our business from the war in Ukraine, and no economic recession. Finally, the forecast is based on currency exchange rates that we experienced in the first quarter.”

May 15 (Reuters) - Australia's Aristocrat Leisure (ALL.AX) on Monday said it has entered a deal to acquire Israel-based software firm NeoGames S.A. (NGMS.O) for $1.0 billion as the gambling machine maker seeks to expand its online presence.

Aristocrat Leisure said it would pay a cash price of $29.50 per share to the shareholders of NeoGames to buy 100% of the Nasdaq-listed software firm.

The takeover would give Aristocrat entry into the attractive iLottery market, "which is a highly regulated ... and can facilitate further penetration across other online Real-Money Gaming (RMG) verticals," the company said.

NeoGames does content and technology solutions for the online RMG industry.

"We see great opportunities in the combination of our complementary businesses, with clear revenue and growth potential that comes with a complete and seamless online RMG solution," said Aristocrat CEO Trevor Croker.

NeoGames' board has recommended its shareholders vote in favour of the deal and holders of 61% of NeoGames shares have also executed a deal to vote in favour of the purchase, Aristocrat said.

Award-winning draw game will now be available with 10 U.S. lotteries

LONDON – April 20, 2023 – International Game Technology PLC (“IGT”) (NYSE:IGT) today announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with the Maine State Lottery (“Maine Lottery”) for IGT’s patented Cash Pop™ draw-based game. While Cash Pop is currently live with nine of the Company’s U.S. lottery customers, this agreement marks the first time that IGT will license the game to a lottery outside of its primary technology customer network. Maine Lottery expects to launch Cash Pop in October 2023 with five daily drawings.

Australian slot machine supplier Ainsworth Game Technology has announced the appointment of Dr Haig Asenbauer – an Austrian lawyer and Deputy Chairman of its largest shareholder Novomatic – as a non-executive director.

According to details filed with the ASX on Wednesday, Dr Asenbauer is currently a partner of Austrian law firm Asenbauer Rechtsanwaelte GmbH in Vienna, Austria. He has held the position of Deputy Chair of the supervisory board of Novomatic AG, which holds a 52% stake in Ainsworth, since June 2021.

In its filing, Ainsworth noted the potential for conflicts of interest to arise given Dr Asenbauer’s relationship with its majority shareholder, explaining that “strict governance protocols” will be initiated to ensure he does not participate in any matters that could be perceived to reflect a conflict of interest.

“We welcome Dr Asenbauer as a non-executive director of Ainsworth Game Technology,” said Ainsworth Chairman Danny Gladstone.

“Given his extensive knowledge of international gaming gained through his experience at Novomatic AG we believe he will complement the Board’s current skills and provide added value to Board deliberations.”
