The consortium will bring instant and passive games to players in the southeastern state of 21 million people where lottery games are the only form of legalized gaming. Currently, only Keno and a national draw game are offered in the state.

Terms of the 20-year agreement provide the consortium with an exclusive license for lottery operations in Minas Gerais, including instant games, a supporting instant ticket system and passive lottery games, with an option in the agreement for a 20-year renewal. IGT and Scientific Games will lead the consortium's operation of the instant ticket and passive lottery business in Minas Gerais, and will jointly provide printed instant games planning and production, while Scientific Games will supply the software and management system requirement.

Connecticut Lottery players will be able to purchase Keno and draw-based games online for the first time in Lottery history

This technology will enable the CLC to sell Keno and draw-based lottery games for the first time via a new website and mobile app developed by IGT. The contract is expected to run through May 2031 and includes four years of possible extension options. The iLottery gaming system is anticipated to launch in the late fall of 2023.

Under the terms of the contract, the CLC will receive IGT's high-performing iLottery system, including a comprehensive suite of solutions designed for maximum back-office efficiency for the Lottery, and intuitive and engaging player experiences.

Swedish gambling authority issues accreditation to supply  regulated operators

Malta, June 1, 2023 – Bragg Gaming Group has become the latest provider to receive a B2B supplier licence in the Swedish market ahead of new regulation enforcement in the country.

By gaining the supplier licence, Swedish players will continue to have access to the comprehensive range of exclusive content delivered via Bragg’s remote games server.

Bragg has been active in the Swedish market since 2019, but in a bid to further clamp down on offshore online gambling, the Spelinspektionen has given suppliers to the country’s market until July 1 to apply for accreditation, with the aim of channelling more players into the regulated space. 

The Swedish market forms an important part of Bragg’s overall European strategy and 2022 figures from the Spelinspektionen put the gross gaming revenue of licenced online operators at approximately SEK12bn (USD $1.2bn).
