Beason, who recently served as an independent consultant for Inspired since 2018, has accepted the position to lead Inspired's technology efforts driving the overall hardware, software and content development.

Beason joins Inspired after more than 10 years at Scientific Games, where he most recently served as Enterprise Chief Technology Officer from 2011 until 2016. As Enterprise CTO, Beason managed a group of 1,200+ employees in both operational, product development and service roles, and was instrumental in the acquisitions and integrations of Bally, WMS, Barcrest, and Global Draw. He also managed the manufacturing and software development organizations with centers in the US, Europe, India and China.

In March 2019, the Kentucky Lottery's Scratch-offs sales topped $70 million. This beat a record that had stood for nearly three decades – previously the best Scratch-off ticket sales month in Kentucky Lottery history had been the first month of sales in April 1989, which finished at $68.1 million.

The first project of its kind, the complex disentanglement of Lottery business operations included transitioning all Private Manager lottery operations and processes from one vendor to a new vendor. In addition, the transition included all underlying technology, as GLI oversaw the transition of both lottery business operational processes, as well as core-system migration to deliver a new retail network, new data centers, new iLottery platform, and integration with the lottery’s scratch-ticket management system.
