Colville Casinos to Open Sports Betting Operations at its Three Facilities with IGT

The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, which runs three 12 Tribes Colville Casinos in Central Washington, will now provide sports betting at its facilities after signing a new deal with International Game Technology (IGT).

12 Tribes Colville Casinos COO Tony Posey spoke in an official press release about this new alliance and said: "Thanks to IGT we feel confident in our ability to provide our guests with an exciting and secure sports betting environment, and we look forward to opening our doors to sports enthusiasts soon".

No time frame was given when sports betting would be available at the 12 Tribes Colville Casinos.

The legalization of sports betting on all of the state's federally recognized Native American Tribes in Washington came in March 2020, after Gov. Jay Inslee signed the bill into law. Earlier this month, a DC federal judge decided to transfer to the Western District of Washington a lawsuit by cardroom operator Maverick Gaming accusing officials of allowing Native American tribes to hold a decades-old monopoly on gambling rights. Maverick’s lawsuit challenges Washington Tribes’ exclusivity on a number of gaming activities, including recently-legalized sports betting.

12 Tribes Colville Casinos operates the 12 Tribes Lake Chelan Casino in Manson, the 12 Tribes Omak Casino Hotel in Omak, and the 12 Tribes Coulee Dam Casino in Coulee Dam.

In October last year, 12 Tribes Colville Casinos announced new names for their properties in Omak and Manson. 12 Tribes Omak Casino Hotel, formerly known as 12 Tribes Resort Casino; and 12 Tribes Lake Chelan Casino, formerly known as 12 Tribes Mill Bay Casino, are now rebranded based on their locations.

As for IGT, it not only continues to grow in territorial terms, but also those conquered jurisdictions and verticals have translated their success into the company's recently released financial results for the first quarter of 2022, showing revenue of $1.1 billion in a 4% rise compared to the same period in 2021, driven by Global Gaming product sales.

The company also announced in May that it has recently signed a multi-product systems technology agreement with Harrington Raceway and Casino, in Delaware, to further optimize its gaming floor and player reward options through a variety of IGT solutions. Harrington Raceway and Casino will upgrade its gaming floor by deploying the latest iteration of the IGT ADVANTAGE casino management system.
