FANTINI RESEARCH PUBLISHES LEGISLATIVE PREVIEW 2021
Helping You Make Money™
NEWS RELEASE January 12, 2021
This will be a busy year for gaming legislation throughout America with sports betting, online gaming, slot routes and casino expansion all on the agenda, according to the Legislative Preview 2021? published by Fantini Research.
The Preview, written by Fantini Research Director of Public Policy Laura Briggs covers all states where significant gaming legislation is likely.
Among the prime possibilities are legalizing online sports betting in New York and Connecticut, debating the legalization of casinos and other forms of gambling in the southern states of Alabama, Georgia and Texas, and debating legalization of slot routes in Pennsylvania and Missouri, according to the special report.
In addition, the Biden administration is likely to be more friendly to gaming, especially in reversing the Trump Department of Justice’s restrictive view of the 1961 Wire Act as outlawing interstate online gambling, Briggs writes.
Legislative Preview 2021? is the initial publication of the year of Fantini’s Public Policy Review, which is published on Mondays and provides comprehensive coverage of all gaming legislation, regulatory activity and significant legal events in all 50 states and Congress.
The Preview 2021 is available free of charge at www.FantiniResearch.com.
In addition, Fantini Research in partnership with Spectrum Gaming has launched Public Policy Insights. This is a series of video interviews with public policy makers in gaming and key legislators in gaming states. These videos, which will be posted throughout the year are at www.fantiniresearch.com/conventions/public-policy-insights.html.
Public Policy Insights videos begin with interviews of Michael Pollock, managing director of Spectrum, Laura Briggs of Fantini Research, Sen. Keith Pickard, president of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States, and Richard Kalm, executive director of The Michigan Gaming Control Board.
