Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) Brings Global Digital Gaming Testing, Regulatory Expertise to ICE Africa

JOHANNESBURG, S. Africa (26 September 2019) – For global digital gaming and sports betting suppliers hoping to reach the diverse African market, experts from Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) will be at ICE Africa to lend their valuable insights and experience.

GLI will be on stand #206 at the show, which takes place 2-3 October 2019 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Gaming, particularly sports wagering, has been growing exponentially throughout Africa over the past year. “This is an exciting time for the gaming industry in Africa, notably in the digital gaming arena. We have been consulting with regulators who want to ensure continued fairness and security, as well as with suppliers from around the world who see African jurisdictions as very attractive,” GLI Africa General Manager Devon Dalbock said.

“At GLI, we understand digital gaming technology better than any lab, because we’ve been testing it for more than 30 years. That’s why regulators and suppliers alike are so reliant on our insights,” he added.

In addition to its testing and certification services, at ICE Africa, GLI will be discussing its recently released GLI-33: Event Wagering Systems Standard, as well as the recent updates to the South African National Standard for Sports Betting (SANS 1718 Part 4, Edition 3).

GLI has been serving gaming regulators and suppliers in the African market since 1996, and the company was the first independent test lab in Africa. The company recently expanded its Johannesburg location and staffing levels to accommodate increasing demand for the company’s services across the continent.

GLI is certified by jurisdictions throughout Africa, including Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Nigeria, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. Recently, the company was prequalified to Provide Testing Services in Uganda through the Year 2022, and the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA) chose GLI to perform a wide-ranging advisory project.

In addition to its land-based, lottery, and digital testing services, GLI provides a wide range of services to its clients, including responsible gaming consultation, cybersecurity, testing automation, forensic investigations, and training.
