About Fantini Research

Fantini Research is a publishing and research firm focused on providing actionable information to institutional investors and C-level executives in the gaming industry. We do this through a variety of products and services.

Our flagship product is Fantini’s Gaming Report. This comprehensive, data-rich report is distributed daily and provides complete coverage of everything that has happened in the global gaming industry of interest to gaming investors and executives.

Fantini’s Gaming Report is delivered at three tiers of service:

  • Basic Service provides one comprehensive report.
  • Enhanced Service provides the Basic report plus: Fantini’s Pre-Market note that is published before the New York Stock Exchange opens on news that could move stock prices; real-time bulletins on important events throughout the day; synopses of quarterly earnings conference calls from every gaming company that publicly reports; a weekly analytical column; password-protected access to our online archives. Enhanced is our most popular service, encompassing more than half of our subscribers.
  • Full Service includes all the services of Basic and Enhanced, plus proprietary products –EILERS-FANTINI Quarterly Slot Survey, National Revenue Report, Public Policy Review – further described below:
    • EILERS-FANTINI Quarterly Slot Survey is the industry’s leading, and the world’s largest, such survey. It is essential for anyone who wants to know and understand gaming equipment and technology trends and competitive standing among gaming suppliers.
    • National Revenue Report each month compiles, analyzes and tracks trends in gaming revenues in every US jurisdiction, as well as provides breakdowns by casino operator and property.
    • Public Policy Review focuses on the critically important governmental components affecting the gaming industry — legislative, regulatory and legal. Published weekly, the PPR presents a detailed update on all three of those components in one convenient, time-saving place.   A key part of the PPR is password-protected access to our legislative tracker that covers all gaming legislation in all 50 states and Congress. (Note, the tracker alone would cost $5,000 to $15,000 from other services.)

Research and Consulting - Fantini provides proprietary research and market feasibility studies upon request.

The Fantini Gaming Show Fantini’s Gaming Show: A Virtual Trade Show and Newsroom was created to give gaming suppliers an opportunity to display their products in a virtual online booth and to help those in the industry searching for their products connect and compare the services and technology they need to run their businesses.

Historical Horse Racing Examined

January 8, 2019

The phenomenon known as historical horse racing is proliferating in the United States, with the slot-like machines operating in Wyoming, Kentucky and soon Virginia, while proposed in others including Illinois.

Fantini Research outlines this subject in Historical Horse Racing, Examining the Potential of an Emerging Sector of the Gaming Industry, a special report.

This report by Public Policy Editor Laura Briggs describes the games, also called instant racing, and addresses the questions of how the games perform compared to conventional slot machines, where they are already legal and likely to become legal and whether the games are a stop-gap in markets without casinos or an important part of the future of the gaming and horse racing industries.

The $500 report can be purchased by contacting Alex Capitle at 302-730-3793 or ACapitle@FantiniResearch.com.

National Legislative Preview 2019

January 8, 2019

National Legislative Preview published by Fantini Research

Sports betting will be a hot topic in legislative sessions throughout the United States this year with bills expected to pop up in 20 states or more. Of those, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, and Missouri will be among the first movers.

Nationwide sports betting expansion is one of many potential policy changes discussed in the National Legislative Preview published by Fantini Research, which examines legislative efforts on the various aspects of gaming in all 50 states and Congress.

Other issues occupying legislators will be authorizing online gaming, legalizing casinos in key states such as Georgia and Virginia, expanding casino gaming in big states like Illinois, the proliferation of slot routes, emergence of historical horse racing and authorization of lotteries or potential expansion of lottery offerings.

The National Legislative Preview includes a policy overview and recommendations to policy makers by Michael Pollock, managing director of international consultancy Spectrum Gaming.

The National Legislative Preview kicks off 2019 coverage for Fantini’s Public Policy Review, a comprehensive weekly report on all legislative, regulatory and legal action throughout the United States and Congress that includes real-time reports as important events unfold.

The Public Policy Review also includes a legislative tracker allowing subscribers to focus on specific areas of interest to create their own customized reports.

The National Legislative Preview is available for purchase by calling 302-730-3793 or emailing either Alex Capitle at ACapitle@FantiniResearch.com or Cindy Konowitz at AKonowitz@FantiniResearch.com.
